“Analects”   (plural noun) are selected miscellaneous passages, excerpts, or snippets from the writings of one or more authors. Often used to describe collections of sayings or teachings, such as The Analects of Confucius, the term implies a gathering of thoughts, derived from the Greek analekta ("gathered together").
